In August 2026, from July 31 to August 9, Lorient will once again become the world’s beacon of Celtic culture for its 55th edition. For ten days, the Festival Interceltique (FIL) will transform the port city into a giant stage where tradition and modernity unite to celebrate the heritage of the Atlantic arc.

The most eagerly-awaited event is the Grand Parade of Celtic Nations. More than 3,000 artists – Breton bagads, Scottish pipe bands and Galician dancers – will parade in an explosion of color and sound. This fervor continues every evening at the Stade du Moustoir during the spectacular Nuits Interceltiques, combining light shows and grandiose music.

But FIL 2026 is also about daring. The program will feature fusions of ancestral folk and electro-rock sounds. Between two concerts, the unique atmosphere is nestled in the “Off”: pubs overflowing with improvised sessions, fest-noz inviting you to dance and craft villages celebrating local produce.
