Next, learn about how a submarine is operated. Finally, take a step back in time and step inside the actual Flore S645 submarine.
After this first adventure, head to the other side to discover the Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly. Eric Tabarly, the famous sailor who went missing at sea, is now a symbol of Lorient. Here, visitors of all ages can explore the world of sailing. At the pier, admire the sailor’s famous sailboats: the Pen Duicks (“little black head” in Breton). In the summer, the Cité de la Voile offers a variety of activities, including introductory sailing lessons. Be sure to stop by the “La Base” restaurant and bar, which offers a superb view of the harbor and the submarine base.
