A lively market every Friday and Monday in summer
Every Friday morning, Concarneau and its “ville-close” offer tourists and locals alike a huge market with over 200 stallholders.
During the summer months, a second market appears, with around 50 stallholders setting up on Monday mornings. Both food and non-food, this is the market par excellence, where local artisans mingle with the sweet scents of the season.
Where are the markets in Concarneau?
Just 45 minutes from Flower Camping Le Kergariou, Concarneau’s reputation as a “ville-close” is well established.
On Monday and Friday mornings alike, the Place Jaurès is home to a large number of traders, close to the Halles, which is open every morning.
The Friday morning market extends as far as the marina. It’s the perfect time to stroll through the narrow streets, admire the flora and fauna of Concarn’s coastline and take a photo of this superb “ville-close”.
How do I get to the Concarneau markets?
The easiest way to get to the Concarneau market on a Monday or Friday morning is by car.
However, don ‘t try to park in the market spaces, as they may already be fully occupied.
Instead, set off a few hundred metres to find a place upstream of the market area. And for a bit of fun, we suggest you take the ferry from Place Duquesne, located in the Ville-Close.
This shuttle boat will save you precious minutes and show you Concarneau from a different angle.
